Paganism as Praxis - Finding Your Why

When I walked into this seminar, I didn’t know what to expect. I thought I was walking into a talk about witchcraft and practices, but instead, I walked into a breakout session that was occurring during this seminar about finding the why of practicing witchcraft. The speaker made some interesting comments that I caught.

Teaching Witchcraft - Seminar of Uncertainty

Usually at Paganicon, there are speakers, writers, shop owners, and, interestingly enough, there were people who teach witchcraft for a living. The seminar I attended was about teaching witchcraft, and it featured a panel consisting of Jason Mankey, Dodie Graham McKay, and Laura Tempest Zakroff, who are well-known writers and teachers within the witchcraft community. 

Myths, Stories and the Bible

While at Paganicon, various organizations and individuals will gather in designated rooms to meet and interact with one another. These are usually a great way to have conversations with people. There was one room in particular that I visited where a guy named Thomas and I had a very interesting discussion.

Now, when I attend fairs, I usually end up seeing the same people there. One person in particular is this guy named Ryan. Now, Ryan is brilliant and knowledgeable, but the thing about Ryan is that he loves emotions, feelings, and experiencing things. During our conversation about logic and the Bible, Ryan brought up something different that I had never heard him talk about before.
